Rawalpindi, The Punjab Education Department (PED) has increased the age limit for the appointment of female teachers in government schools across Punjab including Rawalpindi district.
PED has given three years age relaxation to female teachers, according to which age limit has increased to 38 years from 35 years.
Moreover, formal circular has been issued in this connection.
Punjab SES Teachers Association Leaders, Aslam Gujjar and Shafiq Bhalwalia praised the PED for the relaxation and demanded that new induction should be done on merit rather on political basis.

The Punjab Education Foundation was established under the Punjab Education Foundation Act of 1991 as an autonomous statutory body to encourage and promote education in the private sector operating on non-commercial/ non-profit basis.
The Punjab Education Foundation has been restructured under the Punjab Education Foundation Act-XII of 2004 for the promotion of education, especially encouraging and supporting the efforts of the private sector in providing education to the poor, through public private partnership.
