FBISE announces result of SSC Part-I, II exams

Islamabad (Saturday, December 1, 2012) – Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) on Friday announced the result of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part-I and II, Supplementary Examination 2012, declaring 42.24 percent candidates successful.

According to an FBISE spokesman, 13,477 students registered for the Part-I examination, but 13,125 appeared in the examination, adding that 6,407 students were declared successful.

The examinations were held from September 25 to October 17.

In the science group, 8,283 students (6,346 boys and 1,937 girls) appeared, while 4,609 students passed the examination with the percentage of 55.64 percent.

As many as 2,078 students appeared in the humanities group (570 boys and 1,508 girls), of which 878 students passed the examination. The passing percentage in this group remained 42.25 percent.

Meanwhile, 9,466 students registered for Part-II examination, of which 9,178 appeared. Of the total, 3,877 students were declared successful and 5,298 students failed.

In the science group, 5,946 students (4,831 boys and 1,115 girls) appeared, of which 2,610 students passed the examination with the passing percentage of 43.90 percent.

As many as 3,232 students appeared in the humanities group (1,633 boys and 1,599 girls), of which 1,267 students cleared the exams with the passing percentage of 39.20 percent.

During the course of examinations, 27 cases of unfair-means were reported, of which 16 have been decided. A judicious procedure was adopted to decide the cases and personal hearings were allowed to all those concerned, the spokesman said.
