It is a well known fact that annual increment is granted to to Govt. employees of 1st of December every year. This year is no different than others. Even though Govt. employees were very disappointed because there was no increase in salary in budget 2020, but annual increment is awarded according to the law. So annual increment 2020 will be granted in the pay of December 2020 and this increment pay will be withdrawn by the employees at the end of the month of December or in the beginning January 2021.
The pay scales 2017 is the current active pay scale chart. The good part is that not only there will be annual increment added to the basic pay of employees, but since Ad-hoc Relief allowances of 2017, 2018 & 2019 are calculated on running basic pay, these allowances will also increase slightly.
Following is the list of allowances that will be adjusted after increase in the basic pay on 1st of December 2020
- Adhoc Relief Allowance 2017 @10% of the running basic pay ( For Sindh employees it will be @15%)
- Adhoc Relief Allowance 2018 @10% of the running basic pay
- Adhoc Relief Allowance 2019 @10% of the running basic pay for employees from BPS-01 to BPS-16, @5% for employees from BPS-17 to BPS-20 & no increase for BPS-21 and BPS-22 ( For Sindh employees it will be @15%)
