Revised Pay Scale 2016 for Govt. Employees of Pakistan

Govt. of Pakistan has revised pay scales. New pay scale 2016 will be implemented from 1st July 2016. Salaries of Govt. employees have been increased after the revision of pay scale and addition of another adhoc relief allowance 2016 of 10% on current running basic. This allowance was announced in budget 2016-17 by federal government.  On one hand, Govt. employees are happy that pay scales have been revised because it will not only benefit current employees but also it will benefit great those who want to retire. But on the other hand, employees are not happy that only a mere increase of 10% in salaries is given in pay scale 2016. Some workers are of the view that its better than expected. There were not much expectations from the govt.

Budget Highlights for Govt. Employees

First of all there is a good news for employees from 1 to 15. The news is that their Conveyance Allowance has been increased by 50%. Ad-hoc Relief Allowance 2013, 2014 and 2015 have been merged into Basic Pay. A few benefits have been given to the pensioners as well. Pension has been increased by 10% and pensioners who age is more than 85 years will get an increase if 25% in their pension. Minimum Salary for labors have been increased from Rs 13000 To Rs 14000. Special Conveyance Allowance 4 Disabled Persons is Fixed Rs 1000. Post of Khateeb has been upgraded from From BPS-12 To BPS-15. Qualification Allowance is increased 50%.
