Punjab’s provincial budget was presented by provincial minister for finance Ayesha Ghaus Pasha on Friday 2nd June 2017 who presented the annual budget for the upcoming year 2017-18. The provincial government has proposed an increase of 10 percent in salaries and pensions of government employee in Budget 2017-18. An estimation of the new pay scales 2017 is as follows.
Other than that, post of EST has been upgraded from scale 9 to scale 14. Where as the post of EST has been upgraded from scale 14 to scale 15. All those ESTs who are already in scale 15 will be upgraded to scale 16. Whereas the ESTs already in scale 16 will be given two advance increments. Similarly, SSTs will get two advance increments.
